SpiritHorse Center Start-Up and Licensing Program
SpiritHorse International is very pleased to announce the success of its continuing Global Center Start-Up and Licensing Program. This program is in great demand! We have trained and certified 220 Equine-Assisted Healthcare Instructors the US, Eastern Europe, South Africa, South America, and Mexico. Charles Fletcher, Founder/CEO held a clinic in Pardubice, Czech Republic in 2009 and 2010 and certified 31 instructors from centers all over the republic. Our first international center was SpiritHorse Apolenka, which serves over 250 children each week in Pardubice, Czech Republic. We have held a clinic in Poland, in June 2011, where we trained 20 instructors and certified 13. The seven not certified passed their written tests and are obtaining horse ground skills to be certified at a later date. We are holding a clinic in Corinth, Texas on July 25 - 29, 2011, August 22 – 26, 2011 and December 5 – 9, 2011.
The total number of clients served by its licensees is over 2,100. This brings the total number of clients served by SpiritHorse International to 2,500! In order to be licensed by SpiritHorse, a therapeutic riding center must meet several requirements, including:
- Personnel must be trained and certified as equine-assisted healthcare instructors by SpiritHorse International. Training is $200 or whatever you can afford.
- SpiritHorse methods and curriculums must be followed exactly and SpiritHorse standards of safety and high quality intervention must be met.
In return, a licensed center can use the SpiritHorse registered trademark, becomes a 501 (c) 3 and a 509 (a) 1 tax exempt organization under our group permit and can send their first grant applications upon signing the license agreement We provide training in researching foundations, grant proposals, including 54 grant proposal templates and a grants database system. Our licensed centers introduce themselves as part of a large group whose quality and safety are overseen and they are supported by the largest and most advanced equine-assisted therapy center in the world. Our licensed centers are benefitting greatly from this immediate tax-exempt status, training, and documentation.
