SpiritHorse has gone global!
SpiritHorse is happy to announce its Global Licensing Program. We started slowly to get the kinks out of the program. However this program is already in great demand! We have trained and certified thirty-seven Equine-Assisted Healthcare Instructors from three countries. Charles Fletcher, Founder/CEO held a clinic in Pardubice, Czech Republic and certified 15 instructors from centers all over the republic. We licensed SpiritHorse Apolenka, which serves over 200 children each week. Current licensed centers are:
- SpiritHorse Apolenka, Czech Republic
- SpiritHorse Virginia
- SpiritHorse Ranch, Saint Jo, TX
- SpiritHorse Centro Pegasus, Montevideo, Uruguay
- SpiritHorse Austin, TX
- SpiritHorse Big Heart Horses, Scotland
- SpiritHorse Double D Ranch, IA
- SpiritHorse Liberty, TX
- SpiritHorse N.E. GA
- SpiritHorse Broken Creek Ranch (Missouri)
- SpiritHorse Chisolm Trail (Oklahoma)
- SpiritHorse Hungary
- SpiritHorse Rainbow Bridge (Canada)
The total number of clients served by its licensees is over 350. This brings the total number of clients served by SpiritHorse to over 750! In order to be licensed by SpiritHorse, a therapeutic riding center must meet several requirements, including:
- Personnel must be trained and certified as equine-assisted healthcare instructors by SpiritHorse, Texas. Training is free of charge.
- SpiritHorse methods and curriculums must be followed exactly and SpiritHorse standards must be met.
- A safe operation.
In return, a licensed center can use the SpiritHorse registered trademark, becomes a 501 (c) 3 and a 509 (a) 1 tax exempt organization and can send their first grant applications upon signing the license agreement., grant proposal templates, database system, and receive free training for their instructors, development personnel, and administrative staff. They may represent themselves as part of a large group whose quality and safety are overseen by the largest and most advanced equine-assisted therapy center in the world.
The license fee is $1.00 or the equivalent lowest paper currency bill in other countries. This is not intended to be an income producing program for SpiritHorse. We have as our mission serving people with disabilities, children who are victims of abuse, and at-risk-youth everywhere. Our goal is to be serving over 10,000 children weekly by 2014!
About SpiritHorse
|
Our Mission: To Assist Individuals with Special Needs in
Reaching their Full Potential through Interaction with Horses |
We are unique in that SpiritHorse is the only center in America that provides all private therapeutic horseback riding services free to people with disabilities, children who are victims of abuse, at-risk-youth, youth after drug-rehab and battered women. We currently serve over 400 children and adults FREE OF CHARGE at our Corinth, Texas facilities plus another 350 at our licensed centers, more than any center in the world. Two hundred of these children have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
In seven years of operation, as the result of our research and development and the faithful application of our methods by our certified instructors, we have heard 59 children speak the first word of their lives, helped 39 children walk their first steps to reach their ponies, and seen 38 children sit up for the first time.
Please support our cause!
Our most immediate need is raising money to sustain our free programs. You can make a difference by making a donation now through any of our giving programs. All grandparents, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends, please give for the children you love.
